Golden-yolk, nutrient-rich eggs from hens rotated daily on pasture. Supplemented with local non-GMO feed and protected by our farm dog, Leroy.

Our eggs are more than breakfast — they’re a story of how good food is raised.

Our hens live outdoors in mobile coops, moved daily across fresh pasture. This rotation spreads fertility where our soil needs it most, helping us regenerate the land while giving the birds a constant buffet of clover, grass, and bugs. It’s nature’s way of balancing flavor and nutrition, and you’ll taste it in every yolk.

The flock is supplemented with a custom non-GMO feed from a local feed mill, ensuring balanced minerals and steady nutrition year-round. On top of that, they enjoy organic veggie pulp from Juicekeys in Raleigh and kitchen scraps from Verdigris, a local farm-to-table restaurant. Nothing is wasted, and everything stays local.

We also graze our chickens behind our South Poll cattle herd. This multispecies system mimics the rhythms of nature — cows graze tall grass, chickens follow to spread manure, scratch apart cow patties, and control pests. The result is healthier soil, cleaner pastures, and better food for your family.

And watching over it all is Leroy, our loyal livestock guardian dog, who keeps the flock safe from predators. Thanks to him, the hens can roam freely without worry, giving you eggs that are truly as wholesome as they come.

The result? Local eggs with vibrant golden yolks, sturdy shells, and a flavor you just won’t find in the grocery store. Choose from a dozen, two dozen, or a flat of 30 to keep your fridge stocked with food you can feel good about.

Local Egg FAQs

Are pasture-raised eggs more nutritious than store-bought?

Yes. Studies show pasture-raised eggs often contain higher levels of omega-3s, vitamin D, and antioxidants than conventional eggs. Customers also tell us they feel fuller and more energized after eating them.

Why do some eggs have different shell colors?

Eggshell color depends on the breed of hen, not the quality of the egg. We keep a mix of breeds, so you’ll see light tan, brown, and speckled shells. What matters most is the strength of the shell, which comes from healthy hens on good pasture.

Do your eggs need to be refrigerated?

We recommend refrigeration for longer shelf life. Thanks to their strong shells, our eggs often last 2–3 months in the fridge, staying fresher longer than typical grocery store eggs.

Do pasture-raised eggs cook differently?

You’ll notice thicker whites and yolks that stand taller in the pan. They whip up fluffier in baking, hold together beautifully when poached, and give omelets and scrambles richer flavor.

Are these eggs good for high-protein or low-carb diets?

Yes — each egg has about 6 grams of protein, healthy fats, and zero carbs. They’re ideal for paleo, keto, carnivore, and whole-food meal plans.

How do eggs fit into your regenerative farm system?

Our hens follow the cattle across pasture. The cows graze first, then hens move in to spread manure, scratch apart patties, and eat fly larvae. This cycle builds healthier soil, reduces pests, and produces cleaner, more nutrient-dense eggs.

Do they really taste different?

Absolutely. Customers describe them as richer, “eggier,” and more buttery than store eggs. Once you try them, it’s hard to go back.
